Skip Waste Management
If you hire skips to keep outside of your place of work, it is important that you are thinking about your skip waste management plan, or there is always the risk that the waste you have could get out of hand.
There are some tips that you should know about hiring a skip:
– Always make sure you have the right sized skip. If it’s too big, it will be a waste of money, and if it is too small then you will fill it too quickly and it may overflow.
– Make sure your skip is locked if it is outside of your workplace where people could dump rubbish – or climb – in your skip easily.
– Ensure you know what should go into the skip, for example make sure that everything that can be recycled is going into the correct container.
Once you have your skip in place, you will need to arrange with your hire company how often it will be collected. Skip waste management is often a little bit like trial and error at the beginning, but if you take your time to work out what is right for you, you should be able to get it right under control.
